Get your bachelor's degree tuition free

Tuition and fees are covered for OCSEA members to attend Youngstown State University in one of two degree programs. Just apply to use your UET benefits, and the OCSEA scholarship will cover the rest. Books are not covered under this scholarship. To get information about the cost of books go HERE.

Take classes online and on your own time

Classes are online, which is ideal for busy adults. If you have to interrupt your studies because of a busy week at work, you can pick up where you left off with no penalties.

No entrance exam or other requirements

The only requirement to enroll is that you have an associate degree from an accredited school and that you are a dues-paying OCSEA member who is eligible to receive Union Education Trust funds.

OCSEA has partnered with Youngstown State University to offer a bachelor’s degree program that works for busy professionals.

YSU is a member of the University System of Ohio.

General Studies Degree

The Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) degree allows students who have completed an associate degree to complete the bachelor’s degree online. The BGS requires completion of General Education Requirements and two focus areas. Students who have completed an associate degree are considered to have one of the focus areas completed. This maximizes the use of credit hours the student has already completed and provides an efficient route to the bachelor's degree.

Criminal Justice Degree

The Bachelor of Science in Applied Science (BSAS), Criminal Justice at YSU has students studying the law inside and out in an effort to better protect citizens in our communities. The BSAS, Criminal Justice requires completion of an associate degree and is done completely online.

Spring session begins Jan. 08, 2018
